Maria Gordeeva(1970) - Where choice is born

Oil painting on canvas "Where choice is born." The author is Ukrainian artist Maria Gordeeva. Maria was born on September 10, 1970, in Kharkiv; from the age of 12 she studied in an art studio, and she won the city contest “Nature through the eyes of children” twice. Since 1985 she studied at the Kharkiv Art Lyceum, in 1999 she began painting oil paintings. She loves landscapes the most, but is also drawn to still lifes. The author favors a realist approach in painting, but also loves working in a surrealist style. Maria’s paintings have been shown at solo exhibitions in Ukraine and the United Kingdom; two solo exhibitions were organized in Portsmouth at Ortho Space and The Lodge Arte Center. The most recent exhibition featuring the author’s works took place in Ukraine, in the city of Dnipro, under the title “Art of the Unconquered.” The dimensions of the painting are 70×60 cm, the painting has painted sides, it is varnished, and it holds a certificate of authenticity.
