Description from the seller
Artwork mounted on a frame
In my work, the vitality and power of nature mingle with abstract expression. I created a dynamic background using the acrylic pouring technique. I used acrylic to create a dynamic, almost fluid atmosphere, through which the bee-eater flies, a symbol of freedom and beauty. This painting is a celebration of color and movement, capable of infusing energy and inspiration into any space. It reflects my deep admiration for the natural world and its pristine beauty. This bird lives in my native region of Kaiserstuhl, in southern Germany, during the summer. In autumn, the bee-eater returns to Africa and comes back at the beginning of summer. This magnificent painting is part of my series: “Wild Birds on a Fluid Art Background.” A detailed realism paired with a fluid and intuitive art backdrop.
Anja Semling is a graphic designer by training and a versatile painter. With meticulous attention to detail and expressive techniques, she blends realism, naturalism, and expressionism. Her passionate works illuminate the vibrant world around her. Semling's abstract works constitute a powerful testing ground where her deep expertise in graphic design meets pure emotional expression. Her paintings invite viewers to reflect on the meaning of colors and shapes, thereby exploring their own thoughts and feelings. This multi-faceted artist refuses to confine herself to a single artistic style, for the world of life is anything but monotonous. For her, style is not an end in itself, but a tool in service of the subject treated. Each series is consciously given a distinct aesthetic language to best convey its intrinsic truth.
