Description from the seller
Artwork mounted on a frame
In this work, I wanted to capture the freshness and enchantment of a winter forest bathed in a golden sunlight. The pearlescent textures mingle with glints of gold leaves, playing with icy contrasts to bring forth a vibrant light. This composition exudes a soothing energy, an invitation to relaxation.
As usual, I worked with thick materials, punctuated by touches of gold leaf and enriched with stone collages. These elements evoke the presence of frost, giving the surface a tactile intensity and a mysterious depth.
Carole Fournier, a painter with nine years of experience, uses a mixed technique enriched with plaster reliefs.
Its colors, born from personal blends; based on edible ingredients, plant-based cooking, Indian ink, and pigments to create glazes. Its signature, gold leaf.
Reproducing the majesty of nature and the intensity of the elements, thus revealing storms, tornadoes, clouds, volcanic eruption, from land to sea. Occasionally taking on a fantastical air.
Through her canvases, she expresses the power of nature and our insignificance in comparison.
