Luana Muntoni, known in the art world as Munlu.art, is an Italian artist born in 1983. Since childhood, Luana has shown extraordinary talent in creativity, approaching with passion drawing, painting and, in particular, the magical world of comics. Over the years she deepened studies on different artistic currents, but she was particularly influenced by pop art of visionaries like Andy Whatol and Keith Haring.
In addition to painting on canvases, the artist has focused her art on the “designer mannequin” project. In this innovative series, Luana uses recycled mannequins as the support to create three-dimensional pop art works, blending sculpture and visual art.
The artist fuses the classical aesthetics of comics with a three-dimensional form, creating a powerful and immersive narrative experience. The vivid colors, dramatic contrasts, and intricate paneling bring the work to life, as if the narration unfolds directly on the surface of the sculpture. The work masterfully transforms the human figure into a canvas for pop culture and artistic expression.
