Elegant pair of wall consoles in Louis XV style, made in the 20th century in Italy, with veneered timber tops and a shaped stone base, ivory lacquer finish and carved wooden legs, each measuring 72 cm high, 50 cm wide and 30 cm deep, sold as a pair in good used condition.
Description from the seller
A refined pair of wall consoles in Louis XV style, produced in the 20th century, characterized by an elegant mix of materials and decorative workmanship with striking visual impact. The consoles feature slender, finely carved wooden legs with an undulating form and rich rocaille motifs, scrolls, and floral elements, faithfully recalling the ornamental French taste of the eighteenth century.
The shaped tops are in veneered wood, embellished with delicate decorative inlays that enhance the grain and give depth and refinement to the surface. The frame is finished with ivory-colored lacquer, enriched by a light patina and traces of gilding, which enhance the carved details and impart brightness to the whole.
The distinctive feature is the shaped stone base, which guarantees solidity and stability, creating a pleasing textural contrast with the lacquered wood. Conceived as wall consoles, they are ideal decorative elements for entryways, living rooms, corridors, or formal reception areas, where they can be paired with mirrors, paintings, or sculptures.
The consoles are in generally good condition, showing signs of wear and small imperfections consistent with their age and use, which attest to their authenticity and history.
Dimensions (each):
Height 72 cm – Width 50 cm – Depth 30 cm.
Sale referring to a couple.
