'' Rob van Trier was born in Tilburg in 1957. Already in his childhood, he knew that he wanted to paint. In his memory, he was 10 years old when his father sent him to the store with 10 guilders and the order to buy razor blades...

In the shop window were all kinds of things that might interest a child. But Rob van Trier didn't see that; he only saw paint boxes with paint tubes that cost exactly 10 guilders. The boy could not resist the temptation; he spent his father's money on his paint.

Rob van Trier paints because he has to paint. He has mastered the art of perceiving what remains hidden from others. His painting is constructed with paint-in-paint, color-in-color, and elegant lines, to which the viewer quickly becomes addicted. Van Trier paints outside, and in the summer, he likes to lie flat on the ground next to the easel to be one with nature during the painting process. His work radiates an incomparable zest for life and painting pleasure. A delight – and a must – for the art lover.

Van Trier's works are sold worldwide; five of his paintings were in the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001. In private collections, his works hang in the same room as the paintings of world-famous painters. Buyers of van Trier's paintings include Armani, Ferrari, various banks, Rotary clubs, and art connoisseurs.''
