Description from the seller

Attention Collectors – Omega Genève Automatic, original 20-micron gold-plated, comes with a master punch (Poinçon de Maître) in a square frame bearing the signature of the Meylan Frères workshop (Brothers Meylan) of Bienne. M (Meylan) F (Frères) and Cie (Hermanos y compañía) Meylan Frères, Vallée de Joux.
An attractive and authentic vintage Omega Genève automatic watch is up for auction, equipped with a 20-micron thick gold-plated case, completely original, never re-plated or restored, preserving its natural patina and genuine charm.
What makes this watch especially interesting is its case, crafted by the prestigious Swiss workshop Meylan Frères, identifiable by the Poinçon de Maître in a square frame (M – F – Cie). This mark corresponds to one of the best case-makers in Switzerland, based in the Vallée de Joux, the historic cradle of haute horlogerie where manufacturers such as Audemars Piguet and Jaeger-LeCoultre were born.
Charles-Henri Meylan founded the firm CH Meylan, specialized in high-quality boxes, and was recognized for their technical excellence. As a historical note, Georges Henri Meylan, a family member, was CEO of Audemars Piguet until 2008. This link brings a very attractive historical and cultural value for collectors.
The case preserves its original 20-micron plating with natural wear visible on some edges, subtly revealing the brass, something entirely normal and appreciated in authentic vintage pieces. It has not been touched up or restored, guaranteeing historical integrity.
The back cover bears the seal of Huguenin Frères, another major manufacturer of the era.
The sunburst-style silver dial is in very good condition, clean and elegant, with gold indices, original hands, and a date window at 3 o'clock. The watch has been serviced and is working properly.
