Description from the seller
Leaf Barn Owl — The Silent Threshold
The Silent Threshold explores the invisible boundary between the tangible world and the unknown. In this work, the barn owl is not only a nocturnal predator, but the guardian of the passage: a liminal figure that inhabits the space between light and shadow, between life and mystery.
The choice of deep black does not represent darkness as absence, but as fertile void and protection. It is the color of the earth (ceramics) returning to its primordial state, stripped of the superfluous to reveal the essence of wisdom. The owl, with its wings wrapped like a cloak, invites the observer to pause on the threshold of silence, where only those who have the courage to gaze into the dark can find true vision.
Unique Surface: The texture echoes the organic nature of the prickly pear leaf, making every vein an irreproducible detail that fuses the animal kingdom with the natural one.
Series "Unique Shapes": The work is part of an exclusive collection where every piece is unique. While the form remains constant, the color finish is unrepeatable, the result of targeted research on enamels and fusion effects achieved during firing.
Installation: On the back there is a pre-drilled hole for wall mounting, allowing the artwork to float above the surface like a suspended vision.
Certification: The piece is shipped in professional protective packaging, accompanied by the relevant certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
The ceramic artwork is part of a series in which every piece is unique, as it is glazed and finished with different effects.
