Abstract avant-garde composition created in 1934 by American artist Charles Bert (born 1873 Milwaukee - died in Lyme, Connecticut, USA). Pupil of Cincinnati Art Gall. , Art League in New York and Academy Julian in Paris. Similar kompositon by Bert was sold by different auctions in USA and Switzerland (by Dobiaschofsky Auctionhouse on 5.11.1999, Lot 345).
Literature: Hans Vollmer "Artist Lexicon of 20 century"(in German), Seemann, Leipzig, 1953
Provenance : French private collection.
Inscription: signed Bert and dated (19)34.
Technique: Gouache on card board, unframed.
Measurements: w 8 1/8” x h 9 7/8“ (20,3 x 25 cm).
