A First Edition, First Printing of "Just So Stories", the adaptation of Malayan folklore by Rudyard Kipling, illustrated by the author. Published in 1902 by Macmillan & Co. in London. With second state binding, without the flaking and fragile white ink on cover and spine.

Original pictorial red cloth boards with white and black design. Some colour toning and colour fading, especially on back cover. Cover corners slightly bumped, cover edges rubbed. Spine somehow faded, with bumped and at fault with small losses at extremities, as you could see in the photos.

Illustrated throughout with full-page woodcut plates by the author.

Very small closed tears upper edge of contents page and page 1 and page 247. Pencil small owner inscription to the front free endpaper. Scattered spotting and browning throughout the book. Fine binding, holding very good, but with some crack to hinges at page 81.

Dimensions: 24 x 28.5 cm. 144 pages.
