Three-volume Spanish hardback edition of Victor Hugo's Los Miserables, published in Madrid by Felipe González Rojas, with a new Castilian translation and color lithographs, dating 1889–1893, in worn condition for restoration.

Lot of three antique volumes of the masterpiece by Victor Hugo, "Les Misérables", published in Madrid at the end of the 19th century by the prestigious publisher Felipe González Rojas.
It is a gem for collectors of antique books or lovers of classical literature.
Batch details
• Included volumes: Volume I (1893) and Volume II (1889) + third volume.
• Edition: "New Spanish edition", highly regarded for being faithful to the original French.
• Illustrations: Include beautiful color lithographs on the inner covers (scenes of the barricades and characters).
• Condition: Worn / For restoration. The books are over 130 years old. They show wear on the spines and edges, and foxing stains typical of the paper from that era. No attempts have been made to repair them in order to preserve their original condition.
• Editing location: Madrid (San Rafael Street).
