TOMEH 1988 presents The Weight Within, an original 2026 artwork in Indian ink and acrylic on authentic vintage book pages, 117 × 77 cm, hand-signed, in excellent condition, depicting four male figures in a horizontal composition with a pop culture theme and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
“The Weight Within” is a compelling horizontal composition that explores psychological tension through the presence of four male figures positioned in progressive movement.
Set against authentic vintage book pages, the figures appear caught in a moment of internal confrontation — bent forward, suspended between restraint and release. Each body carries its own posture and emotional charge, creating a collective atmosphere of pressure and introspection rather than a literal narrative sequence.
Executed in Indian ink and acrylic, the dense black silhouettes contrast with subtle highlights, emphasizing physical mass and human vulnerability. The expressive brushwork remains intentionally raw in certain areas, allowing spontaneous lines and painterly traces to remain visible — reinforcing the immediacy of the gesture.
The aged printed text beneath the composition functions as a quiet historical layer, suggesting that inner weight is shaped by memory, experience, and inherited narratives.
