Description from the seller
Sottili Notes - Anna Barone
Abstract work created with transparent glazes and light stratifications that evoke organic fragments suspended in space. The shapes float like petals carried by the wind or particles in water, creating a delicate balance between presence and void.
The composition unfolds through natural tones—dusty pink, deep blues, and soft grays—enriched by a discreet gold leaf detail applied by hand, which introduces a point of light and vibrancy.
An ethereal and contemporary work, designed for bright and elegant spaces, capable of conveying lightness and harmony.
Signed in pencil on the front, signed and dated on the back.
Certificate of authenticity included.
Artist Statement
My work explores the fluid nature of water and its ability to generate shapes, movement, and light. Through watercolors, inks, and light glazes, I translate this energy into abstract visions that evoke calm, mystery, and introspection.
I paint landscapes of the unconscious: suspended horizons, reflected trees, inner blooms. Each work is an invitation to slow down, to get lost, to 'breathe with the eyes.' I let the water guide the process, embracing imperfections and fleeting traces as fragments of truth.
Welcome to my dreams on canvas.
