Meteorite chondrite slice from Tindouf, Sahara, Algeria; polished on both sides, showing chondrules and iron in a brecciated structure; weight 43.5 g.
Description from the seller
Magnificent slice of a stony chondrite-type meteorite, of very good size, in which we can see chondrules inside, free metal, and its brecciated structure with zones of different lithologies. Each "circulito" (chondrule) represents a grain of matter that floated in the protoplanetary disk, which when they joined together formed bodies progressively larger. Therefore, chondrites like this tell us how the solar system formed in its origins, being of great scientific value.
Cut with diamond wire to achieve a large surface area with low weight. Perfectly polished on both sides. Spectacular!
A great opportunity to add to your collection a piece of the most famous classified condrite in the world. Condritas are the oldest materials in the solar system, with an estimated formation age of 4,550 million years. A true jewel of the universe in your hands.
All of our meteorites come with an IMCA certificate (International Meteorite Collectors Association), which guarantees the authenticity of all our meteorites for life. Buy with confidence.
Best regards and our best wishes.
