Description from the seller
Title: Remembrance Without Return
55 x 70 cm
In this work, closeness brushes against farewell.
Two bodies lean against each other, not in possession, but in memory.
The female figure closes her eyes.
Not out of surrender, but out of protection.
The man remains for one more moment, in shadow and warmth,
as if he wants to feel what it was like, before everything became complicated.
The high-contrast skin tones enhance the emotional tension:
light versus dark, vulnerability versus strength.
Rough brushstrokes remain visible and give the work an airy, tangible quality.
The pink blossoms symbolize impermanence — beauty that cannot be held onto.
A painting about longing, letting go, and the thin line between memory and reality.
Signed bottom left.
Carefully packed and shipped.
Medium: oil paint on canvas
Not ready to hang: no, the painting is rolled up and needs to be re-stretched by your local framer.
Attention! The paintings are freshly out of the studio and in oil paint, so the oil paint is not fully cured yet. Some caution is advised!
Signature: front side, also signed certificate
Year: 2026
Shipping: rolled up in a tube
Shipping extra-large formats rolled up is safer and more environmentally friendly than shipping finished artwork. The canvas can easily be stretched at your location by a framer.
