Description from the seller

Silver-plated metal ice/champagne bucket, English-made (mark engraved on the bottom: “Made in England” within a cartouche).

Dimensions:

Height: 16.5 cm

Base diameter: 14 cm

Description:

A cylindrical bucket with a flared base and a raised circular foot. The upper edge is shaped with a wavy profile (scalloped motif), a decorative element typical of English production from the early twentieth century.

On the body there is an heraldic coat of arms engraved with a central shield surmounted by a crest and ornamental scrolls;

Two shaped handles are mounted on the sides, fused and welded to the body, with oval-plate attachment.

The interior is smooth; the bottom bears an engraved mark 'Made in England'. No hallmark stamps are visible, therefore it is most likely silver-plated metal and not solid silver.

Condition status

Diffuse patina present and surface oxidation consistent with age.
