Icon of the Virgin and Child – Élie Pellegrin

• Artist: Élie Pellegrin (1914-2001), French sculptor and medalist.
• Era: Circa 1950–1960.
• Materials: bronze with a brown patina and colored enamels (sky blue and white).
• Dimensions: 12 cm x 10.5 cm (Rectangular format with a rounded top).
• Iconography: Virgin and Child in neo-Byzantine style.
• Greek inscriptions in white enamel: MP ΘY (Mother of God).
• Frame featuring stylized floral motifs, typical of the artist's work, depicting Savoyard nature.
• Markings: Signed "E. PELLEGRIN" debossed on the reverse.
• Condition: Very good state of preservation, original patina preserved, no apparent enamel loss.
