Decorative cast brass medallion with a four-petal pierced rosette design, 10 cm wide, 10 cm high and 2 cm deep, originating from France and dating to the 20th century, in very good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Decorative medallion cast in brass with a pierced design in the shape of a rosette or four-petal flower. Given its dark golden tone and weight, it appears more brass than bronze. Mold-cast (irregularities and the typical grainy texture are visible). Design with central floral motifs and a decorative dotted pattern on the outer ring. It has a small hole near the edge to be fixed with a nail, screw, or rivet, on a piece of furniture, a chest, or a door. The flat, unmarked back indicates it was an appliqué, not a coin or medal. In style (rustic, with dotted texture and a simple rosette) it could be roughly dated to the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, although this type of motif has been used for centuries.
Very good condition (see images to get an idea of the condition).
It is sent by certified and insured mail via Correos España or a similar service.
