Emeterio Ovejero Marcos (1948-2007) was a Spanish painter born in Madrid on December 30, 1948, recognized for his figurative and expressive work in oil on canvas.
He studied Drawing and Painting at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, where he graduated in 1971. Subsequently, he refined his technique with professors Sánchez Arjona and Maestro Barrando.
In 1974, he moved to Seville, joining the artistic group 'San Juan de Azna'.
His work focuses on figurative painting, with a marked expressive character. Many of his pieces explore loneliness, fears, and the human condition.
First Drawing Prize at the Collective Exhibition of the Madrid City Council (1961).
Third Prize for Oil Painting at the Collective Exhibition of the Madrid City Council (1968).
Silver Medal at the III Andalusian and Extremaduran Painting Competition (Seville, 1974).
Honor Diploma at the XXVIII Biennial Exhibition, 'ART-PRESS' Hall (Diario Pueblo, 1974).
First Prize for Oil Painting at the Madrid Collective Exhibition (1976).
