AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

China – Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) - 19th Century
Globular porcelain vase decorated in the wucai technique (Five-Color).

Height: 20 cm

Elegant globular vase in Chinese porcelain, decorated in wucai polychrome, with underglaze blue and overglaze enamels overdipped in iron-red and green.

The body is adorned with a rich continuous motif featuring stylized qilin among leafy branches and large peony flowers, traditional symbols of prosperity and good fortune. The composition is dynamic and compact, with a free and expressive brushstroke.

The vase comes with a wooden lid (produced later).

Conditions
Good overall condition for its age.
Present
a hen's-foot crack and a small, light crack (visible in the photographs),
reading cooking impurities and minute irregularities in the enamel,
normal wear and tear consistent with age.

There are no obvious restorations or structural damages.

Origin
At the bottom there is an old paper label bearing the inscription:

Brussels Company – Brussels – Rue d’Assaut

Most likely attributable to a Belgian trader or importer active between the late 19th and early 20th century, this element testifies to the artifact's early presence in Europe.

Shipping
The lot will be packed with the utmost professional care.

The object will be protected by means of:
multi-layer bubble wrap wrapping
internal protection with packing paper,
use of polystyrene chips for shock absorption,
double box system (inner protective box placed inside a second outer box)

The packaging is designed to ensure maximum safety during international transport.
