Description from the seller

Art Deco Crystal Decanter with Gilt Flying Birds – Europe, c. 1930

Elegant Art Deco crystal decanter, decorated with finely acid-etched and gilded flying birds, most likely depicting wild geese or waterfowl in flight. The frosted crystal body is enriched with warm gold accents, creating a refined contrast typical of high-quality luxury glassware from the interwar period.

The decanter features its original crystal stopper, perfectly fitting, and shows excellent craftsmanship with a satin (frosted) surface and precise gilded detailing. The dynamic bird motif reflects the Art Deco fascination with movement, nature and stylised elegance.

The piece bears a signature on the base, unfortunately not fully legible, but stylistically consistent with luxurious crystal manufacturers.

We can't immediately say where and by whom this beautiful carafe was made. It comes from an Antwerp family.

A highly decorative and collectible object, ideal as a barware statement piece or as an elegant display item in an Art Deco interior.
