Hibiki 12-year-old is a fantastic example of blended whisky in the Japanese style: smooth and fragrant. It includes malt whisky from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from Chita. The whisky is partly aged in plum liqueur casks. This wonderful Japanese whisky won first prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010. Unfortunately, it has since fallen victim to its incredible success, forcing the Suntory group to stop production. Today, Hibiki 12-year-old whisky has become a rare whisky.
