Description from the seller
MiLo – “The Divide”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
This original acrylic painting explores the dynamic tension between stability and movement. Two bold black vertical forms, fully painted, anchor the composition, while a network of linear structures and circular gestures is scratched directly into the surface.
The incised lines reveal subtle underlying tones, creating depth and a sense of layered space. The circular scratched formations suggest orbital motion, contrasting with the grounded, architectural presence of the black pillars.
Balancing structural control with gestural spontaneity, the work reflects a dialogue between order and intuition. The restrained palette and spatial openness allow the painting to integrate seamlessly into contemporary and minimalist interiors.
Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The artwork will be securely packed and carefully shipped.
