COLLECTOR'S PIECE, ONE OF A KIND.
I’m starting a new path in my signature style, and as many of you already know, I like to blend philosophy with art. In this new collection, “Duality,” it is the result of years of experimentation, reaching what will be my signature style, playing with the two ends of steel.
Explanation of the work
For me, the pursuit of balance in both life and our actions is fundamental, inspired by great philosophers like Aristotle, 'Virtue lies at the mean,' or the studies of Stoic philosophy. I have sought to represent this concept by leaning on two dualities or extremes: crumpled steel and rigid steel. Separately, each is incomplete; both parts are needed and complete one another, seeking the harmony that leads us to peace, calm, virtue, and maturity.
The pursuit of balance often occurs in other aspects as well, or even in couples—two people who seem completely different—and it is in their union that they find a harmonious balance that makes them happy. And at this point, for you, what does that pursuit of balance between two extremes represent?
It hangs easily like a picture.

José Soler is a sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited internationally, including in Miami, France, Monaco, Italy, and elsewhere. Through each of his pieces, he strives to bring out the melody that lives within each of us. Soler cites the transformation of cold steel into sculpture as his way of connecting art and philosophy, with the invisible to our eyes and what can only be perceived through universal feelings.
