Large Chinese Straits Market Lidded Jar – Twin Fish & Lotus on Apple-Green Ground – Early 20th Century
Description
A rare and highly decorative Chinese porcelain lidded jar made for the Straits market (Peranakan / Southeast Asian export), dating to the early 20th century (Qing to early Republic period), after 18th century models.

This type of vibrant enamelled Straits market porcelain was produced for the wealthy Chinese communities in Southeast Asia and is today increasingly sought after due to its decorative quality and relative rarity in this size.
