Marco Corridoni, FIXED Fontana - no.08 / 100, an original 2025 mixed‑media artwork on canvas measuring 40×50 cm, signed by the artist and produced directly in Italy, one of 100 numbered editions with back‑side signature and photographic certificate; frame available separately.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana - no.08 /100 (2026)
water-based painting on canvas, leather, metal
40x50cm
UNIQUE and ORIGINAL WORK
Work number 8 in a numbered edition limited to 100 copies.
Special edition of the 'Fixed Fontana' series with a color palette unseen in the artist's production.
The artist draws inspiration from Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite art history, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between citation and desecration.
The cuts are sewn up, symbolically, to shorten the space rather than 'opening' it.
Expectations are disappointed, almost as a sign of protest against a way of making and selling art that has little or nothing to do with the originality and essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in the style of Fontana, and the cuts, strictly made by hand by the artist, echo those of his most famous works.
Each cut is fixed with a black canvas on the back, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives stability to the work and a refined aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certification included
Frame available to order separately.
