Description from the seller

Exclusive inlaid table made with various precious marbles and a central chessboard pattern from the early 1900s.
Suggestive, sophisticated, beautiful in look and form, it stands out for the particular workmanship carried out exclusively by hand and the special marbles used to realize the refined octagonal geometric motif.

The special inlays are made with Carrara Marble, Portuguese Pink Marble, Alpine Green Marble, Portoro Black Marble, Royal Fallow Marble? (here I need to decide: 'Marmo Daino Reale' is 'Royal Fawn Marble' or 'Daino Reale' is 'Daino Reale Marble'—likely best to translate as 'Daino Reale Marble'), Red Sicily Marble and Red Venice Marble.
A splendid central geometric motif includes a chessboard.
All tabletop inlays are firmly held by a robust eight-slab marble support made especially for this purpose. (See the photo of the underside/top inverted surface).
The table is supported by a pedestal (Red Marble and Carrara) resting on a stepped square base also made with different types of Marble. The heavy base ensures excellent steadiness.
The table features radiused/rounded corners, which gives soft lines and a fascinating design.

The table can be split into two pieces, top and leg. The top fits perfectly onto the leg top thanks to two special joints, becoming a solid and stable unit.

The combination of multicolored marbles and the chessboard top creates a striking visual impact. Used as a table, lamp table, or chess table, it will add charm and refinement to any space.

Important dimensions:
Height 77 cm.
Tabletop width 75 cm
Tabletop depth 75 cm.
Weight 65 kg.

It will be shipped carefully packed on a wooden pallet.
