Very beautiful painting: Csillag József – Peasant Yard.
In good condition, in a nice frame. The painting will be shipped together with the frame.
Size: 60 × 80 cm (without frame).

It will be carefully packaged and shipped with insurance.

Csillag Jozsef

Painter and graphic artist. He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, where his master was Imre Révész.
In 1959, he was awarded the Munkácsy Prize.

During the 1920s, he undertook an extended study trip to Italy. He participated in the work of the artists’ colonies in Kecskemét and Pécs.
His first solo exhibition was held in 1928 in Pécs. His etchings were presented in solo exhibitions in Brussels in 1929 and 1935, and in Venice in 1931.
