Description from the seller
Danone – "It is pure" – Oleg Zinger, 1957
Authorized official reprint – Made in France
Format: 59 x 40 cm
Semi-gloss paper
Fascinating official reprint of the famous Danone advertising poster created in 1957 by Oleg Zinger, an icon of postwar French advertising graphics.
The subject is one of the most emblematic in European food advertising: the Danone jar observed under a microscope by a small angel in a white lab coat, a symbol of purity and scientific control. The slogan “Il est pur” becomes a manifesto of trust, quality, and modernity.
This is an authorized reproduction as part of an advertising retrospective, as indicated along the vertical margin of the sheet. It is therefore not the first edition of 1957, but an official reprint produced in France, printed on semi-gloss paper of good weight.
The color quality is very faithful to the original: a deep blue background, a sharp illustration, and a clean layout typical of the 1950s. Perfect size (59 x 40 cm) to be framed and showcased in vintage environments, design kitchens, bistros, or contemporary spaces with mid-century references.
Conditions:
Overall good condition. There are some folds and light waviness of the paper, consistent with unframed preservation. No major tears. Colors are bright and well preserved.
An excellent piece for collectors of French advertising graphics, for fans of the Danone brand, and for anyone looking for an iconic 1950s poster at a price more affordable than the first print run.
