saeideh - Hyper realistic Graphite, The Duality of Light |Set of 2|

This lot includes a set of 2 original academic drawings.
My focus in these works was to explore the extreme limits of Graphite Pencil, pushing the medium to achieve both the transparency of glass and the deep, velvet like blacks usually associated with charcoal.

Unlike charcoal sketches, these drawings were built up using a sharp graphite tip and microscopic layering. This specific technique requires immense patience to eliminate the graphite shine and create true depth.
The creation of these two pieces spanned over 4 months (approx. 300 studio hours).

1-High Key Study (The Bucket): 30 x 36 cm. A composition focused on light values and textures.
2-Low Key Study (The Bottle): 30 x 21 cm. A deep study in Chiaroscuro and darkness.
