Full Moon singing bowl. This type of singing bowl is traditionally handmade in Nepal during the energy of the full moon.
These singing bowls are made from an alloy of seven or more metals, each representing a planet.
The bowls are intended for sound therapy, meditation and chakra balancing, and it is believed they contain healing vibrations.
Often a symbol is engraved on the bowl that symbolizes the connection with moon energy, and sometimes also the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum.
The bowl is supplied with a striker and a cushion, and produces rich, resonant tones.
