Description from the seller
STeW born in 1978 - Street Art & Stencil
Based in Ivry-sur-Seine, STeW has left his mark on walls around the world for nearly 30 years.
He entered graffiti in 1996, discovered stencil in 2006 and developed a unique technique: using his stencils as stamps.
This distinctive approach allows him to create majestic birds drawn in white, sublimed by backgrounds in vibrant colors inspired by Asian prints.
Masterpiece: The "Blue Heron", a monumental mural 53 meters high in Paris' 13th arrondissement (Place de Vénétie), recognized as one of the tallest painted façades in Europe.
Created in 2013 with the Itinerrance gallery, this work required three months of work and more than a hundred stencils.
Book: In 2025, STeW publishes "À Vol d'Oiseau", a 300-page volume tracing 10 years of street work around the world—from the Paris suburbs to international urban corners.
The street remains his favorite playground: "That is where I learned my craft, where encounters are made, where we offer people a little happiness..." A silent revolution, stencil after stencil.
Notable projects: Tour Paris 13, Djerbahood (Tunisia), exhibitions in Moscow, Lisbon, Vancouver, London...
