Konstantin "Zmogk" Danilov presents Border balance, a 24 × 17 cm original mixed-media abstract work (2026) on acid-free Hahnemühle Cornwall paper, hand-signed, in excellent condition, 100 g, delivered unframed, with a certificate of authenticity, originating from Greece and sold directly from the artist.
Description from the seller
- Technique details: Acrylic paint and inks on Hahnemühle Cornwall paper, acid free, cold pressed, age resistant , 450 g/m2
- Certificate of Authenticity provided
- Delivery unframed.
Small-format work from the "Borderline States" series exploring emotional equilibrium through color psychology. The dominant turquoise field represents calm, focus, and mental clarity, a state of centered presence.
The active perimeter technique reveals suppressed emotions vibrating at the edges: bright orange and yellow suggest underlying energy and restlessness, while pink hints at vulnerability pushed to the margins. These contrasting edges create optical tension, pulling attention away from the calm center – much like how buried emotions periodically demand recognition despite our attempts to maintain composure.
The fluorescent pigments intensify this peripheral vibration, making the edges pulse in peripheral vision. A meditation on the fragile balance we maintain between outward calm and inner complexity.
Please note:
- Possible color deviations are due to light, monitor and camera.
- For buyers outside the EU, additional duties and fees may apply.
Bio.
Konstantin Danilov (b. 1979, Moscow) is a painter and muralist based in Athens, Greece. A pioneer of Russia’s 1990s graffiti scene, his practice evolved toward Color Field painting, blending bold spatial compositions with psychological and emotional depth.
He has exhibited at major institutions such as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, RuArts Foundation, and Burning Man x Sotheby’s (New York). His works are part of notable collections, including the STRAAT Museum (Amsterdam), Montresso Foundation, RuArts Foundation, and Sofia Trotsenko Collection.
Danilov has held solo shows at Triumph Gallery, Fineart Gallery, and Reloft Art in Moscow, and has participated in international fairs such as Urban Art Fair (Paris) and Affordable Art Fair (Amsterdam). His street art projects span over 20 countries, from Hong Kong to Paris and New York.
His work explores themes of emotional perception, ecological fragility, and transformation of personality and the interaction between one’s inner world and the external environment, including in the context of emigration. Using techniques such as painting around the edges of the canvas to reflect the hidden emotional layers that frame our conscious experience.
