“Diffuser la lumière” explores the boundary between the material and the immaterial.
From the emerging canvas of plaster hands, as if seeking contact, a gesture that would offer clarity to the world. From their open palms flow streaks of gold, symbol of a precious and fragile energy at once. Gold does not merely adorn: it spreads, slowly, like a light that pierces matter, transforming the gaze and inviting reflection on what in us shines and is passed on.
The painting is signed by the artist Emma Lapassouze—an artist who has been acclaimed multiple times and recently featured on I-CAC—and her technique includes the use of coffee grounds as a repurposed organic material.
The creation was presented in a white American box for an elegant highlighting of the subject.
