The Venus de Milo (c. 130 BCE) is a world-famous Greek marble statue, discovered in 1820 on the island of Melos. It presumably depicts Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and is known for its missing arms. The 203 cm tall masterpiece can be viewed at the Louvre in Paris.
