Description from the seller
Vintage Haller Saffire Kerosine Stove Made in the Netherlands
This is a beige, freestanding paraffin-oil stove with a cylindrical chimney that leads to a round kerosene tank and flame outlet. This is a Haller Saffire, made in the Netherlands. These stoves were also used for cooking. Before the advent of electric batteries, paraffin oil was the most commonly used fuel for lamps and portable lanterns. It is still used to a limited extent for portable lamps and cooking appliances, especially by campers or in developing countries. Nowadays it is valued more for its authentic decorative potential than for its original function. Very rare item. Collectors' item.
Condition: Exactly as pictured. The stove is complete and in excellent condition for an authentic find (there are traces of rust, wear, and oxidation visible that fit with the age). No leaks or cracks in the fuel tank. It is about 50 cm tall and weighs 3.5 kg.
