SS France, a first edition portfolio by Leande Vaillat in French, containing 15 text sheets and 12 illustrated plates in a raspberry cloth binding, 20 pages, a travel brochure about the SS France dating from 1912, in discrete condition.

A large octavo portfolio (280 x 210 mm) bound in raspberry-mottled cloth, with the front cover decorated by a wide gold border, featuring an interwoven motif of an anchor and a fuchsia at the center beneath the title "S.S. FRANCE." It contains 15 text leaves by Léandre Vaillat printed on fine laid paper (numerous wrinkles) and 12 illustrated plates (in the best preserved condition) with explanatory tissue guards (parlor, furniture, objects and decorative motifs, etc.).
An elaborate travel pamphlet/advertisement for the vessel “S.S. France” with descriptions and images of the fine arts and of some rooms to encourage Americans to travel to France.
