Bart Hamelink presents Just One More, an original 2026 acrylic painting on canvas in neo‑expressionist style, 165 × 133 cm, in black, yellow and white, signed and sold directly by the artist, delivered without a frame with a certificate of authenticity, exploring addiction and pop culture themes.
Description from the seller
This raw and personal work is about addiction. About the voice in your head that keeps talking, even when you want to get out.
In the middle stands a figure that seems trapped within itself. On his body are words like 'Alcohol'. It feels as if the addiction is literally around him. He wants out, but the voice keeps coming back.
On the canvas there are texts such as:
“Just one more”
“You need me”
My only friend
You are nothing without it
“Still here!”
I wanted out
These sentences show the struggle between hope and relapse. Anyone who has dealt with addiction will recognize this inner dialogue. The work is about losing control, but also about the longing for freedom.
Also at the bottom:
There is always hope
This small piece of hope breaks through the dark atmosphere and makes the work powerful and human.
The black-and-white colors, rough lines and an unpolished finish reinforce the sense of struggle and honesty. It’s not a pretty story, but a real story. This makes the work strong, recognizable and emotional.
Because of its large size, this painting makes a strong impact on the wall. It fits well in a modern, minimalist, or industrial interior and is a strong statement piece.
