Born August 18, 1820 in Lyon, died July 15, 1878 in Grigny (Rhône).

Student of the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon from 1834 to 1835 and from 1840 to 1841, where he was notably a pupil of his brother François Frédéric Grobon. He exhibited in Lyon from 1846 to 1847 and in Paris from 1852 onward with flowers, fruits, still lifes, animals and some landscapes (paintings, watercolors, gouaches and pastels).

Under the name Grobon Frères, Anthelme Eugène and François Frédéric produced lithographs in Lyon from about 1844 to 1850, including Fleurs à la Redoute, original drawings by P. Berjon, published by the Société des Amis des Arts de Lyon (1847 to 1848, 26 plates) and a portrait of Louis Querbes, parish priest of Vourles.
