A set of four Kangxi-period Chinese porcelain pieces (c. 1700–1750) decorated in the Amsterdam Bont style in the Netherlands, comprising two large bowls and two small bowls, all with floral and landscape cartouche motifs, larger bowls 15 cm diameter × 7.2 cm high and smaller bowls 7.7 cm diameter × 4.5 cm high, with minor age-related wear and damages described.
Description from the seller
A charming set of four Chinese porcelain pieces from the Kangxi period (1662–1722), later decorated in the Netherlands in the so-called Amsterdam Bont style. The set consists of two larger bowls and two smaller bowls (cups), all four identically decorated with floral motifs and landscape scenes within cartouches.
The vibrant overglaze enamels, applied in the Netherlands over the original blue and white porcelain, create a lively and highly decorative appearance typical of 18th-century Amsterdam Bont ware. A cohesive and attractive ensemble, rarely found together in matching decoration.
Age
Kangxi period, Qing dynasty (1662–1722), with later Dutch overglaze decoration (Amsterdam Bont)
Measurements
– Larger bowls: 15 cm diameter × 7.2 cm high
– Smaller bowls / cups: 7.7 cm diameter × 4.5 cm high

– Bowl 2: one hairline, rim in neat condition
