Loro Piana archive sleeveless vest in full-grain deer leather with castorino lining, made in Italy, size L, for men, in excellent condition with very light signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Loro Piana – Archive deer leather and nutria fur vest – Italy, ca. 1995–1999
Rare vintage sleeveless vest signed Loro Piana, produced in Italy between the mid and late 1990s.
The garment belongs to a production phase preceding the full standardization of product codes, a period when the brand’s outerwear collections used materials of the highest quality no longer employed today for cost and availability reasons.
Materials and construction:
• External: 100% full-grain deer leather
• Interior: fully lined in castorino (shaved nutria)
• Inner lower panel and pocket lining in silk
• High knit collar, presumably cashmere or cashmere blend, consistent with the production era
• Original zips branded Loro Piana with double sliders
• Original horn buttons branded
• Made in Italy
• Composition labels present
• Absence of visible product code, consistent with mid-1990s leather/fur production
The combination of deer leather and full castorino lining represents a quality level not present in contemporary brand production.
Sartorial intervention:
The interior pockets have been professionally re-lined by Degand, Tailor & Shirtmaker (Brussels), a historic bespoke tailoring boutique.
The intervention is exclusively internal, discreet, and in line with the garment’s overall quality.
Conditions:
Excellent vintage condition.
The leather feels soft and well preserved.
The castorino is full, uniform, and intact.
No structural damage detected.
Production period:
circa 1995–1999
Note
A representative archive piece from an era when Loro Piana prioritized an extremely exclusive material selection and high-quality Italian craftsmanship. Specimens of this type are increasingly rare on the secondary market and are mainly aimed at collectors and enthusiasts of the brand.
