Jar (2) - copper with enamel - Japan cloisonne 20th cent

A decorative pair of Japanese cloisonné enamel vases featuring vibrant floral motifs on a black ground with fine gilt scrollwork. The design is enriched with polychrome enamel cartouches and green scale-pattern borders at the neck and base. The rims and bases are finished with gilt brass.

The vases are finely balanced in form and present very well as a symmetrical decorative pair. The craftsmanship reflects typical mid-20th century Japanese export cloisonné production.

Good overall condition. No dents or structural damage observed. There are minor enamel pinholes and small areas of enamel loss consistent with age and manufacturing technique. One vase maybe shows a small old enamel touch-up near the neck area. Light wear to the gilt rims consistent with age. No cracks or repairs detected.
