Original ink drawing by Alain Dodier titled Babette from the Jerome K. Bloks series, an ex-libris project circa 1995–2000, 24 × 16 cm, signed, in excellent condition, published by Dupuis.
Description from the seller
An original inked drawing by Alain Dodier, probably made for an ex-libris of the successful series Jérôme K. Jérôme Bloche/ Jérôme K. Jérôme Bloks.
This is a finely detailed drawing of the character Babette, Jérôme's girlfriend. The drawing is inked.
I couldn't link the drawing to a specific edition, but the format and finish strongly point toward an ex-libris project. (Additionally, the drawing was in my collection, in a folder with original ex-libris plates.)
Alain Dodier is the driving force behind the long-running French detective series, which has appeared as an album series from Dupuis since 1985. The series is known for its refined storytelling, atmospheric inking, and subtle character development.
This particular drawing can be dated to around 1995–2000 and is also signed. The whole piece is finished in ink.
Dimensions: 24 x 16 centimeters. A good collectible item for those who want a fine comic illustration by a prominent author to hang on the wall, preferably compact and not a loose album page.
Condition: excellent. See the photos!
