Description

Repubblica represents a male figure of classical bearing, wrapped in a red cloak that alludes to power, the law, and collective responsibility. His inclined stance and restrained gesture suggest the weight of the decision and the fragility of human order. The body, exposed and vulnerable, contrasts with the symbolic solemnity of the color, while the gestural and convulsive background evokes the instability of public space. The work interprets the republic not as an abstract structure, but as a living body, sustained by the precarious balance between reason, ethics, and action.

Biography

Cosmin Marian Guta (1994) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome until 2020, graduating with top honors. He completed an Erasmus program in Barcelona (EASD LLOTJA) and an 8-month internship at an art gallery (RocíoSantaCruz).
