Mars meteorite MARTE, NWA 13276, type Mars meteorite, origin country otro, weight 0.1 g.
Description from the seller
An opportunity to own a piece of the planet Mars in your hands.
Representative photo; you will receive a piece of similar weight and size.
Usually Martian pieces are very difficult to obtain, so this piece we offer is an opportunity to expand a good meteorite collection.
Due to the enormous impact of a meteorite on the surface of Mars, material from the planet was ejected into outer space. This material traveled through space until, either due to the gravity of our planet or because our trajectory encountered these fragments, they ultimately fell to Earth.
Except for the Apollo missions and the nearly 380 kg of lunar samples they brought back to Earth, it is the only way we have to touch a piece of another planet.
The display case with the stand is delivered.
At Expometeoritos, we handle outreach, talks, workshops, analyses, classification, and exhibitions of meteorites.
We are members of:
IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) #8187
- GMA (Global Meteorite Association) #0078
- Meteoritical Society
American Meteor Society
All of our parts are certified, and in addition, we provide the chemical composition analysis if the value of the part exceeds €300, performed at our facilities by X-ray spectrometry.
