Part I: Large-format full-page portrait of Tollens by H.W. Caspari (1779-1822) and J.E. Marcus (1774-1826) – title page with engraving belonging to page 48 by J.C. Bendorp (1776-1849) with the following text:
‘There you have Jan van Schaffelaar!
The echo of his fall resounds into the air’
Introduction by T. (Tollens) (2 pp) – Contents (2 pp) followed by 29 poems (pp 1 through 190)
Part 2: Title page with engraving belonging to page 120 by J.C. Bendorp (1776-1849) with the following text:
‘He retreats, and seizes a glowing fuse,
And flames it three times around,
And casts it down into the powder’
