Marc Ottee is a pseudonym of Arnout (or Aarnout or Aernoudt or Aernout) van Gilst. He also used the pseudonyms A. Jonstra or A. Joustra. He was born on January 17, 1898 in The Hague and died in Bennebroek on August 10, 1982.
Arnout Van Gilst was a painter, draftsman, watercolorist, sculptor and pastellist of landscapes, farms, copses, etc..
