SIGNED COPIES OF THIS EDITION ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND.
MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

VINTAGE TITLE FROM THE 70ties (!) in the TRUE FIRST AMERICAN PRINTING.
Same title was published same year (1972) in Japan as hardcover in other layout and size.
Not to mix with the same-named photobook, in the 90ties published by Scalo, and not to mix with the much more later reprint by Steidl in 2017.

Lustrum Press, 1972. First edition, first printing.

Paperback (as issued). 227 x 304 mm. 114 pages. 160 photos. Photos: Robert Frank. Text in English.

Condition:
Inside fresh and clean with no marks and with no foxing; trace of an erased (very small) sticker at the bottom left corner of the rear side of the front cover (marginal, not dramatic), no other remarkable flaws or defects. Outside quite fresh, but better than usual; fragile spine complete and well-preserved, sensitive white rear side with the usual (light) rubbing, front with light trace of use and with some very small creases (nearly invisible). Overall fine, better and fresher than usual condition.

Wonderful, very important photobook from 1972 (!) by the one and only Robert Frank -
signed and dated by the artist: "Robert Frank. N(ew) Y(ork) C(ity). October. 1994."
Signed copies of this edition are extremely hard to find.
UNIQUE COLLECTOR'S COPY.
