Description from the seller
Between Touch and Silence
This expressive figurative oil painting captures an intimate moment between two people, at the boundary between closeness and inner silence. The figures seem to be in their own world, connected, but each with their own inner experience. The work explores the tension between desire, vulnerability, and human connection.
With loose, bold brushstrokes and a rich, layered use of color, a painting emerges that feels both tender and intense. The visible texture of the paint and the direct brush gesture give the work a strong physical presence, while subtle color accents and soft transitions create a poetic, dreamlike atmosphere.
This work sits within contemporary figurative painting, where emotion, body language, and human relationships are central. The painting invites the viewer to form their own interpretation and continues to reveal itself anew each time.
A powerful and sensitive work that has a strong visual and emotional presence both in a modern interior and in an art collection.
Dimensions: 80 x 120 cm
Medium: oil paint on canvas
Not ready to hang: no, the painting is rolled up and needs to be re-stretched by your local framer.
Attention! The paintings are freshly out of the studio and in oil paint, so the oil paint is not fully cured yet. Some caution is advised!
Signature: front side, also signed Certificate Year: 2025
Shipping: rolled up in a tube
Shipping extra-large formats rolled up is safer and more environmentally friendly than shipping finished artwork. The canvas can easily be stretched at your location by a framer.
