Vintage Minerva chronometer - Swiss Made - 1940s/1950s - Working
Up for auction is a fascinating mechanical chronometer from the prestigious Swiss manufactory Minerva, known for producing some of the finest chronograph movements in history (now part of Montblanc).
This specimen features a classic white dial with a 60-minute scale and a 30-minute counter positioned at the 12 o'clock mark. The patina of time on the dial gives the piece an authentic vintage character, highly sought after by collectors of technical instruments.
Manufacturer: Minerva Watch Co. (Switzerland)
Period: Around the 1940s / 1950s
Case: Base metal with snap-on case back (serial 144902)
Dimensions: 50mm
Conditions: Aesthetically very good for its age, with normal signs of wear on the case. The dial shows a light patina that attests to its originality.
Operation: The stopwatch starts, stops, and resets correctly.
Service notes: Inside the case back there are manual engravings by professional watchmakers (dates '68 and '73), a sign of careful maintenance over time.
